Today’s lesson is about Jesus calling his disciples to follow him.
You see Jesus had much work to do and he wanted to have some good friends work with him.
One day while walking along the Sea of Galilee Jesus say two boats. Peter and Andrew were fishing from one boat. In the other boat James and John were fixing a net. Jesus said to them, “Come and follow me.” The men stopped everything they were doing and followed Jesus.
Next Jesus passed a tax office. Taxes are money everyone paid to the King. He saw a man named Matthew and told him, “Follow Me.” Matthew got up and followed Jesus.
Jesus asked 7 other men to follow him besides Peter, Andrew, James, John and Matthew. Their names were Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, another man named James, Simon, Thaddaeus and Judas.
